WHY SHOULD YOU CARE ABOUT THE HONEYBEE?
Bees are about way more than making honey. They pollinate. When bees fly from flower-to-flower they transfer pollen from one flower to another. Plants need that to produce seeds so they can make new plants.
Bees pollinate over 100 crops!
Imagine a world without some of your favorites: watermelons, cantaloupes, plums, avocados, lettuce, onions, raspberries, pumpkins, and broccoli. Cotton too — which your clothing and bed sheets are made from.

Plant flowers!Plant flowers. Even just a window box is a wonderful thing. There are lots of bees in the city. If you rip up a whole lawn and replant it with flowers, so much the better! You'll get butterflies and maybe hummingbirds too. Be sure to purchase your plants from a source that's pesticide-free.

Buy Local HoneyThe honey you buy directly sends a message to beekeepers about how they should keep their bees. For this reason, and for your own personal health, strive to buy local, raw honey that is from hives that are not treated by chemicals.
Don't use Pesticides!
